With one week, plus a Championship week left in the college football regular season, the list of possibilities grows for the trip to Vegas as we near Selection Sunday on December 8.  Let’s take a look at where the top predictions land and keep you on the road to this year’s Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl set for Saturday, December 21, at Sam Boyd Stadium.

Mountain West: So much hinges on what others do.  Boise State still could see themselves playing in a New Year’s Six game, which would put San Diego State or possibly Hawaii into the coveted Mountain West slot.  The Aztecs and head coach Rocky Long are bowl eligible for a 10th straight season, so a Boise State move up could put a very experienced team here on December 21.

Pac-12: The field has narrowed quite a bit for the Conference of Champions spot in Las Vegas.  Cal’s win over Stanford on November 23 pushed them into prime contention.  Third-year head coach Justin Wilcox will have the Golden Bears in a bowl for a second straight year.  Washington and Washington State also find themselves in the mix and Arizona State’s upset of Oregon gives them a boost into the post-season.
